D is for Dreams or the lack of them!

I hear many people talk of their dreams.. some really funny ones, some have whacky serial dreams and some have real gory ones. Some claim their dreams are prophetic! One of my really close friends always has a dream starring her real close friends and all of them die in it and she survives almost always :| The times I have died in her dreams have gotten me used to the idea of death :P LOL

Some people say they dream of things they want to do in life. Hence the quotes like:
          "Follow your dreams"

I, on the other hand, have never had a dream. Or maybe I don't remember them. Am I an Atlantean from the "Pillar of Heaven" , I wouldn't know!

Now is it normal to have no dreams?  Is it normal to have dreams? I think this is one area where science isnt giving much answers. Some mystery is good in life,na!

So what kind of dreams do you have? Or are you like me with no dreams?

  1. I've always dreamt -though often they're also nightmares. I wonder if non-dreamers just don't remember them. When my eyes are open I dream of travel and places I've been and want to go.

  2. I think we all dream (according to science) but some of us don't remember our dreams. I dream a lot, sometimes I remember at other times its a vague feeling that something having happened, but you don't know what/why. :)
I have recurring dreams of the earth being submerged in water. :)

  3. I always get dream of missing a train or being in a strange place etc.,
Read somewhere that dreams have meanings, missing train is more common dream and it means you are trying to achieve something seriously. Even, i too didnt get any dreams till i was young, thought it might be because of sound sleep and no disturbing thoughts/ concerns :) Scientists say, dreams will come only on the first part of night and before we wake up as that is the time we are not in a condition of sound sleep.
Nice post.. following your A to Z challenge, interesting till now :)

  4. No dreams, No pain! But still it's always good to chase your crazy dreams and feel that ultimate satisfaction you get when you reach there. :)

  5. I think we all dream I just think some of us don't remember them when we wake up. Maybe your brain is too tired to dream properly! I love having dreams although sometimes mine are a bit too real! I have also claimed to dream about things that have happened. Nothing major though! I dreamt 2 nights in a row that I had lost my hamster. I let him in his ball on the 3rd night and when I went to get him for his bed he had escaped! It was funny crawling the house at 11pm finding him but thankfully i did!!

  7. I sometimes remember my dreams, but not always. They can be influenced by many things. The other night I had a dream involving a character from a tv series I've been watching a lot. It was strange to watch the programme again afterwards!

  8. Well, the scientists say we do dream, partly for our health as without them we'd be ill. I think it's meant to be some sort of release, but how strange you don't remember them. Maybe your friend gets all her bad thoughts out in her dreams so she is happier through the day?

  9. Hey there! I wrote about dreams too, I like your take. I have dreams all the time. Some are strange, some are so nice, some are risque' (hubba hubba) and some are darn right frightening! Dreams in sleep and in real life are good!

  10. I don't know if it's normal or not. My dreams end up as novels, but I don't dream every night. At least not that I can remember. Maybe you are dreaming, but just can't recall them. :-)
    Nice topic!

I always dream and usually always remember them. They are in colour with music, very vivid. Good luck with the A to Z challenge.

  13. I don't think there is anything wrong with you. You probably don't remember any of your dreams. I rarely dream, or rarely remember my dreams. The ones I do are generally my subconscious trying to work out problems. See, I have a problem with keeping problems in, to myself. And when there are too many, or too heavy, my dreams come out. I hear people dream of their story they are writing, or their characters, and I get a little jealous. But everyone is different and everyone dreams different.
