Vote of Thanks to Marathon Bloggers

As always with mixed emotions , I am sitting here on 31st December 2012 looking back at the year that was. It can be called bad planning that I have no plans for New Year's Eve. But the past week has been so tiring that I feel this is the best way to bring in the new year. We went to Karachi Bakery and bought in some wonderful pastries and are planning to order in . Watch a good movie and laze around till midnight is what I am going to do.

The end of December saw me blogging voraciously thanks to this wonderful group of people Marathon Bloggers who don't know me but never made me feel out of place. Actually I felt as if I was amongst really old friends.

These people I would love to mention and I would always follow and stalk their blogs. They are absolutely fabulous. I hope to personally meet them sometime real soon. I have , actually , never thought, I'll meet people that I interact with virtually, but these people are an exception.

So firstly I joined this group because of Rohini who blogs at Mama Says So. I follow her blog and saw this Marathon Blogging post and blindly asked for joining. There was absolutely no thinking involved.

Initially I was apprehensive and awkward. Thanks to Monika <link> to accept my request. Then on it was a rollercoster ride with always an upward rise. I found so many beautiful writers but more importantly beautiful people.
The order is not specific and if I miss some people come and bash me , I am a little absent-minded :P

Simran Dhaliwal who blogs at  Sims Corner always started the daily threads and through her eyes I feel I have already seen parts of Newzealand. I always have a thing or two or more to learn from her in terms of Good House Keeping.

Next I 'd love to mention my Santa Pallavi Purani, who blogs at Me, My World and the Stuff who also is my Secret Santa. Her secret Santa idea and execution was the highest point of this one month journey. And she always makes it a point to read my silly posts and comments too.

Then comes my Santee, Swathika Anandan who blogs at Love,Paper,Colours. I loved looking thorugh her blog and deciding her gift :) She has a 2 year old and she reminds me of me minus the awesome creativity she has.

Then comes Uma Chellapa who blogs at My Musings who also religiously blogged through the month and saved many of us with a very helpful tag post.

I kid you not this woman is really funny -I am serious .. Yes I am talking about Jane who blogs at Jane Kidding and she also leaves such nice comments for me .. aah! :D

Then came the Food Bloggers. Oh my God! Such beautiful visually appealing food, I bet without eating that they do make wonderfully, sinfully, good tasting food.
Thanks for the visual treats Swati Raman Garg who blogs at Chatkhor (I made Amritsari Chole using your recipe). I have to go leaps before I can try much from the very famous Sin-A-Mon Tales but I can see and daydream, cant I?

Aaron Santos who blogs at Dine or Hide and never titles his posts and is curently in Franfurt or Munich I donot know but I know the chef will someday invite me to taste his lovely food. :D

Archana Doshi of the famed Archana's Kitchen , I wish you all the best for the book to be published this year, I'll be amongst the first to buy.

Aparna Jha,who blogs at To Maa,with love , now her food posts I love because they are written for beginners like me.
Rhea ,who blogs at Euphorhea ,who according to me sent the most personalized gift as a Santa! :D

The mommy bloggers whose posts are fast becoming my self help guides to raising the toddler : Aparna George who blogs at Life as Mom ( She also has some good food guides),
Rohini who blogs at Mama Says So, Trishna Pillai who blogs at My Sunshines, Maya Jain who blogs at My awesome Everyday,Bharati Bhagat who blogs at Self Pondering and Shruthi who blogs at ArtsyCraftsyMom

When I read her at So Much to say,I feel there are layers to her writing and so interesting to read everytime!

Most of the times I felt I was writing a post to write as I had promised myself to write the whole month. But when I read Prats at Retrospections! I feel she didn't do so..Each of her post was so different and interesting. I cannot categorize her into a type of blogger and I guess that makes her so unique.

This particular post You, my friend, are a rapist from Amit Das, put in words, what I want every man in India, to feel like. Thank you Amit.

Biju Oomen who blogs at Biju Photography is an amazing photographer and also is an adorable daddy blogger.

I am sure I am missing someone really important!  I am sure I did.. I will be adding in tomorrow here again if I did so .. I have written this in 15 minutes..believe me that aint easy!

Here's wishing you all a Happy and a Prosperous New Year 2013!
